Sister Taylor Erin Maw, 20, of Snoqualmie, Washington, passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, in a Philippines hospital. She had been serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines Angeles Mission since June 2022.

A full-time sister missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints died Sunday, Sept. 17, in a Philippines hospital.

Sister Taylor Erin Maw, 20, from Snoqualmie, Washington, had been serving in the Philippines Angeles Mission since June 2022.

Sister Maw passed away following an illness that remains undetermined at this time, reported Sam Penrod, Church spokesman.

The missionary’s death was first reported on ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

“We express our love and sincere condolences to Sister Maw’s family, friends and the missionaries she was serving alongside,” Penrod said. “We pray they will each feel the peace and comfort of the Savior as they mourn her passing and honor her faithful missionary service.”
