This new temple president and matron have been called to serve by the First Presidency. They began their service in November.

Gabriela Aurora Torrentera de Flores and Edgar Flores Prieto, called as president and matron of the Tuxtla Gutiérrez Mexico Temple in November 2023.

Edgar Flores Prieto and Gabriela Aurora Torrentera de Flores, Ameyal Ward, Puebla México Cholula Stake, called as president and matron of the Tuxtla Gutiérrez Mexico Temple, succeeding President Heber Cineo López Fuentes and Sister Ma. Teresa Salazar de López. President Flores is a Church Service Missionary Specialist and a former Area Seventy, México Chihuahua Mission president, stake president, bishop and temple ordinance worker. A retired Church Employment Resource Center manager, he was born in Puebla, Mexico, to Justo Guillermo Flores Ledo and Delfina Prieto de Flores Huitzil.

Sister Flores is a Church Service Missionary Specialist and a former mission president’s companion, stake and ward Young Women president, stake Primary president, ward Relief Society president and temple ordinance worker. She was born in Puebla, Mexico, to Fernando Victoriano Torrentera Herrera and Aurora de Torrentera Romero.
