The First Presidency has called Alexander Dushku to be a General Authority Seventy. Elder Dushku will be sustained at the October 2023 general conference, according to an announcement posted on ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

Elder Dushku graduated in economics from Brigham Young University in 1990 and from BYU Law School in 1993. He has worked as an attorney for Kirton McConkie since 1996.

Before his call as a General Authority Seventy, Elder Dushku served as elders quorum president, bishopric counselor, high councilor, bishop and stake president, and as a full-time missionary in the Portugal Lisbon Mission, according to the announcement.

Elder Dushku was born in Fairfield, California, on Nov. 17, 1966. He married Jennifer Burnham in 1988. They have eight children.
