The following new mission presidents and companions have been called to serve by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in July.

Edward N Basha III and LeAnn Basha

Edward N Basha III, 59, and LeAnn Basha, five children, Grove 3rd Ward, Chandler Arizona South Stake: California Roseville Mission, succeeding President Douglas L. Talley and Sister April R. Talley. Brother Basha is an elders quorum teacher and former stake president, high councilor, bishop, bishopric counselor and institute teacher. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona, to Edward Najeeb Basha Jr. and Sherri Ann Waterman.

Sister Basha is an interfaith council member and Relief Society teacher and former public affairs director, stake activity committee member, ward Primary president, ward Young Women presidency counselor, scout committee chair, Primary teacher and institute teacher. She was born in Mesa, Arizona, to Glen Lorenzo Huish and Barbara Ann Padgette.

Kurt Brown and Katie Brown

Kurt Brown, 51, and Katie Brown, four children, Hobble Creek 11th Ward, Springville Utah Hobble Creek Stake: Washington Tacoma Mission, succeeding President Christopher S. Metts and Sister Melody M. Metts. Brother Brown is a Sunday School teacher and former single-adult  bishop, ward clerk, ward Sunday School president, ward Young Men president, Gospel Doctrine teacher, missionary preparation teacher, scoutmaster and missionary in the Canada Halifax Mission. He was born in Sacramento, California, to Bradd Alan Brown and Sherrill Lee Miller.

Sister Brown is a Gospel Doctrine teacher and former ward Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Young Women presidency counselor, Young Women adviser, Sunday School teacher, ward Relief Society secretary, ward Relief Society activities committee chair and missionary in the California San Diego Mission. She was born in Edmonton, Alberta, to John Ferrin Larson and Susan May Larson.

Scott R. Labrum and Mindi Labrum

Scott R. Labrum, 56, and Mindi Labrum, four children, Castle Dale 3rd Ward, Castle Dale Utah Stake: Cape Verde Praia Mission, succeeding President David J. Wunderli and Sister Diane Wunderli. Brother Labrum is a former stake presidency counselor, stake executive secretary, stake Young Men president, bishop, bishopric counselor, scoutmaster, ward mission leader and missionary in the Brazil Brasilia Mission. He was born in Murray, Utah, to Ross Nichols Labrum and Linda Edmunds Labrum.

Sister Mindi Labrum is a Young Women adviser and For the Strength of Youth representative and former stake Young Women camp director, ward Young Women president, ward Young Women presidency counselor, ward Primary presidency counselor, Gospel Doctrine teacher and ward missionary. She was born in Granger, Utah, to Ted R Anderson and Shirley Ann Anderson.

Mark E. Larsen and Marianne H. Larsen

Mark E. Larsen, 55, and Marianne H. Larsen, three children, East Bench Ward, Spanish Fork Utah Maple Mountain Stake: Arkansas Little Rock Mission, succeeding President Robert M. Cahoon and Sister Betsy V. Cahoon. Brother Larsen is a Young Men adviser and former stake president, high councilor, stake executive secretary, bishop, bishopric counselor, elders quorum president, high priests group leader assistant and missionary in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission. He was born in Vernal, Utah, to Lawrence Bernard Larsen and Luane McDonald Larsen.

Sister Larsen is a ward Young Women president and former stake Relief Society presidency counselor, stake Primary presidency counselor, ward Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Young Women presidency counselor, ward Primary presidency counselor and YSA Relief Society adviser. She was born in American Fork, Utah, to Michael Jon Harvey and Nola Smith Harvey.

David A. Nelson and Emily Wood Nelson

David A. Nelson, 54, and Emily Wood Nelson, four children, Slate Canyon 10th Ward, Provo Utah Stake: Bulgaria/Greece Mission, succeeding President Samuel M. T. Koivisto and Sister Anna-Maria Koivisto. Brother Nelson has served as a high councilor, stake Young Men president, bishop, elders quorum president, ward Sunday School president, ward executive secretary, scoutmaster and missionary in Greece in the Austria Vienna East Mission. He was born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Lowell Allen Nelson and Rita Rae Evans Nelson.

Sister Nelson is a former ward Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Young Women presidency counselor, ward Primary presidency counselor, ward Relief Society compassionate service coordinator, Relief Society teacher, Activity Days leader, Primary teacher and ward missionary. She was born in Salt Lake City to Walter Rex Wood and Karen Edwards Wood.
