Apia Samoa Temple

R. Wayne Shute, 64, Elk Ridge 3rd Ward, Payson Utah South Stake, called as president of the Apia Samoa Temple, succeeding Pres. Harold R. Johnson. Pres. Shute's wife, Lorna C. Hart Shute, will serve as temple matron. Pres. Shute served as president of the Samoa Mission, regional representative, Sunday School general board member, and in Correlation Department Materials Evaluation. A BYU professor emeritus in the David O. McKay School of Education, he received a doctorate in education from the University of Southern California. He was born in Tuberose, Saskatchewan, to Reginald A. and Clara Irene Barge Shute. Sister Shute, who served with her husband when he was mission president, is a former stake and ward Relief Society president, and teacher in the Primary and Young Women. She received a bachelor of arts degree from BYU. She was born in Ogden, Utah, to Oren Samuel and Alice Evans Hart.

Chicago Illinois Temple

Glenn L. Goodwin, 65, Hurricane 11th Ward, Hurricane Utah West Stake, called as president of the Chicago Illinois Temple, succeeding Pres. Willard B. Barton. Pres. Goodwin's wife, Rosemary Badger Goodwin, will serve as temple matron. Pres. Goodwin served as stake president, high councilor, bishop, and Young Men president. He was district governor of Rotary International and area and council president of Boy Scouts of America. A certified public accountant and retired partner of an accounting company, BDO Seidman, he graduated from BYU. He was born in Hayward, Wis., to Vernon W. and Violet Markstedt. Sister Goodwin is a former Relief Society and Primary president, organist and temple worker. She received a bachelor of science degree from BYU. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Franklin and Afton Hinckley Badger.

Orlando Florida Temple

Kenneth L Zabriskie, 70, Longwood Ward, Lake Mary Florida Stake, called as president of the Orlando Florida Temple, succeeding Pres. Jack F. Joyner. Pres. Zabriskie's wife, LeOra Williams Zabriskie, will serve as temple matron. Pres. Zabriskie served as president of the Florida Ft. Lauderdale Mission, Young Men general board member, temple sealer, stake president's counselor and patriarch. A retired regional sales manager and chief executive officer of Medical Device Manufacturing Co., he attended various business training courses. He was born in Provo, Utah, to George Olin and LaVera Lublin Zabriskie. Sister Zabriskie, who served with her husband when he was mission president, is a former ward and stake Relief Society president, Church Office Building hostess and temple worker. She attended BYU and was born in Heber City, Utah, to David A. and Eva Thacker Williams.

Stockholm Sweden Temple

Spencer F. Jenson, 71, Parleys 6th Ward, Salt Lake Parleys Stake, called as president of the Stockholm Sweden Temple, succeeding Pres. Bo G. Wennerlund. Pres. Jenson's wife, Joyce Love Jenson, will serve as temple matron. Pres. Jenson served as president of the Sweden Goteburg Mission, director of the Washington Temple Visitors Center, stake president's counselor, temple sealer and bishop. A retired personal investments broker, he graduated from the University of Utah. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Willard Conrad and Hertha Davida Sorenson Jenson. Sister Jenson, who served with her husband when he was mission president, is a former stake Relief Society president's counselor and board member, stake Primary board member, visitors center missionary and temple worker. She graduated from the University of Utah and was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph Leonard and Hazel Anna Sperry Love.

Taipei Taiwan Temple

Fan Hsieh, 75, Hsintien Ward, Taipei Taiwan West Stake, called as president of the Taipei Taiwan Temple, succeeding Pres. Wei Wang. Pres. Hsieh wife, Shou-yi Lu, will serve as temple matron. Pres. Hsieh served as temple president's counselor, stake president's counselor, bishop and branch president. A professor and editor of a French quarterly, he received a law degree from Lateran University in Rome and a doctorate from the University of Paris in France. He was born in Tayeh, Hupei, China, to Tin Yi and Anna Yang Hsieh. Sister Hsieh is a former Relief Society, Young Women and Primary president and teacher and seminary teacher. She received a master's degree from Chinese Culture University. She was born in Shanghai, China, to Jung-Kuang and Chang Man Yan Lu.

Tokyo Temple

Kensei Nagamine, 60, Naha Ward, Naha Okinawa Japan Stake, called as president of the Tokyo Temple, succeeding Pres. Yoshihiko Kikuchi. Pres. Nagamine's wife, Hiroko Taira Nagamine, will serve as temple matron. Pres. Nagamine served as stake president, mission president's counselor, district president, patriarch and temple sealer. He is a retired chief of general affairs of the Bank of Okinawa. He was born in Naha-shi, Okinawa, Japan, to Kenshu and Tamako Takara Nagamine. Sister Nagamine is a former District Relief Society president, Primary and Young Women president, seminary and Sunday School teacher. She was born to Jiro and Tsuru Higa Taira.
