What’s changed and what’s original following the renovation of the historic St. George Utah Temple, which will be rededicated in December.

In less than 6 years as President of the Church of Jesus Christ, President Nelson has announced a total of 153 new temples. See the locations here.

Also included is the current status for each temple, as of Sept. 29, 2023.

From spires to the north addition and interior reinforcements, renovation work continues on the Salt Lake Temple and Temple Square.

Of the 133 temples President Nelson has announced in the past 5 and a half years, 7 are dedicated, 4 are scheduled for dedication and 43 are under construction.

Following its Nov. 12 dedication, the house of the Lord in Okinawa will become Japan’s fourth operating temple.

Reservations to tour the Orem Utah Temple are available online. The public open house is from Friday, Oct. 27, through Saturday, Dec. 16, excluding Sundays and Thanksgiving Day.

With the new temple showing through the windows behind him, Elder Neil L. Andersen invited youth to find courage living the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Elder Quentin L. Cook blessed the temple to be “an inspiration to the entire community.”

Latter-day Saints’ “hearts are brimmed with joy” for the Lord’s “bounteous blessings.”

Elder Andersen blessed the temple to provide “added goodness, honesty, peacemaking, and prayer” to the “precious land of Brazil.”

Elder Neil L. Andersen’s dedication of the Brasília Brazil Temple is the 1st of 3 temple dedications on a historic day for the Church.

Moses Lake Washington Temple was dedicated by Elder Quentin L. Cook and is the Church’s 182nd temple. It is the third of three temples dedicated in historic weekend.

On a day of 3 temple dedications, the Apostle dedicates the new house of the Lord in an area where his family lived in the 1980s and 1990s.

The temple’s nine-week open house precedes the rededication to take place on Sunday, Dec. 10

The house of the Lord is the first of the pioneer-era temples to be completed after President Nelson called for restoration efforts that began in 2019.

The site is set for the house of the Lord in Lethbridge, Alberta; Austin Texas Temple now has an exterior rendering.

Brazil’s vice president, Geraldo Alckmin, was among many who have toured the Brasília Brazil Temple’s open house, which concludes Sept. 2.

More than 375 young single adults met with Elder and Sister Gong in a devotional prior to Aug. 26 tour of the new house of the Lord.

The temple will close next year for a renovation expected to take about three years.

All four houses of the Lord were announced by President Nelson — La Paz in 2021 and the other three just five months ago in April 2023 general conference.

Apostle welcomes participants to opening events for what will be the Church’s 185th dedicated house of the Lord.

The house of the Lord comes 100 years after missionaries first taught in the Rio Grande Valley.

Reservations to tour the St. George Utah Temple are available online. The public open house runs Friday, Sept. 15, through Saturday, Nov. 11, excluding Sundays and Saturday, Sept. 30.
