Vanessa Fitzgibbon

Vanessa Fitzgibbon is a Brazilian native and has been the translation coordinator for the Church News since February 2021. She has a M.A. degree from Brigham Young University and a Ph.D. in Luso-Brazilian Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she taught Luso-Brazilian literature, culture, and the Portuguese language. She has also published several academic articles about Brazil and Portugal related to her research areas. Part of her professional experience includes working for the United Nations Development Programme, Citigroup, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Brigham Young University, and the Foreign Services Institute.
